Hi all-

Yet another Sunday when things slow to a crawl here & I do a little cleaning & cook for the week. I suppose this is domestic day. There's a picnic planned for my dept at work, but the weather doesn't look like it will hold.

I have made plans to start a new internship to begin the long process of earning the rest of my hours toward my psychotherapy license. 2000 more to go. The internship is south of the city, so will involve a train commute, but that's only 2-3 days a week. I'll keep my present job at the care management company, but go down to 35 hours. My supervisor from grad school is at this agency,Catholic Charities(non-sectarian), so I'm excited to work with her again. She is someone I respect & trust. The client population is much like my last internship, a variety of children, couples, adults. I am looking forward to getting in to a program they are starting in the highschools for chemical dependent adolescents. The Catholic schools have finally decided to stop expelling all the students who are using, & do some treatment. As soon as my schedule change at work is approved, hopefully in a week, I'll start at Catholic Charities.

My friend Harley has an exhibit of early large paintings up in the town of Santa Rosa, & I went with my housemate Lesley last night to hear him talk about them. You can always learn something new about the people you've known for many years. And a large group of us went out for dinner after & had a wonderful time. Being with 8 other people all seated around a dinner table makes me miss the family...what are the christmas plans this year? Is everyone going to be in OK? Keep me apprised. I appreciate any bits & pieces of news, antics of children, etc. sent my way.

I realize that there is a huge difference in the amount of time I have on my hands & what you all have, but I love hearing from you no matter how short the communication. Sun's coming out- I guess the picnic's on after all.

Love,

Jennifer
